The Department of Biological Science at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Physiology Biology Part‑Time Lecturer Pool. Applicants should be experienced, student‑centered instructors capable of teaching the following subjects at the lower‑division level.
Subject Areas- General Biology (lecture or lab)
- Human Anatomy (lecture or lab)
- Vertebrate Anatomy (lecture or lab)
- Human Physiology (lecture or lab)
- General Human Physiology (lecture or lab)
- Comparative Animal Physiology (lecture and lab)
- Plant Cell Physiology
- Plant Physiological Ecology (lecture and lab)
- Provide classroom instruction.
- Prepare course materials and administer assignments.
- Administer examinations, grade student work, assess performance, and determine course grades.
- Hold scheduled office hours.
- Attend all weekly lab preparatory meetings.
- Participate in all class field trips, if applicable.
- Complete all necessary trainings.
- Master’s or PhD in Anatomy, Physiology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Prior university‑level teaching experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student population, including first‑generation college students.
- Strong content knowledge of the subject areas listed above.
- Proficient spoken English communication skills.
- Professional presentation and demeanor.
- Significant teaching experience with diverse populations and a collaborative, inclusive teaching environment.
- Current and ongoing full‑time relevant professional experience.

- Copy of your unofficial transcripts for your highest terminal degree.
- Summary of Classes Taught: for each class, indicate Course Catalog Number, Course Title, term and year taught, and name of campus.
- Inclusive Excellence Statement (no more than 500 words).
Required materials before official hire:
- Three (3) Letters of Recommendation highlighting teaching experience, signed on official letterhead and uploaded by the referee (applicant‑uploaded letters are not accepted).
- Official transcripts from the institution’s Registrar’s office emailed to klau.

Initial appointments are for one semester only. Compensation is $5,507 – $6,677 per month, prorated for units taught, paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. For a three‑unit assignment, typical starting compensation ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester.

Employment TermsAll part‑time faculty are appointed as Lecturers under the CSU system Collective Bargaining Agreement. Performance evaluations occur annually, determining retention and future assignments.
