The Role
Perform tests and/or measurement tasks for the Dynamics department. Dynamics:
The branch of mechanics that deals with motion of systems under action of forces usually from outside the system.
- Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
- Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
- Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
- Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
- Under close supervision; completes basic technical and mechanical procedures, interacts with clients as needed, assists with basic troubleshooting, interpretation, and analysis of test results
- Basic knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices; basic understanding of AC/DC circuits
- Basic MS Office Skills
- HS Diploma or GED; AA or AS Degree preferred
- 0-3 Years of Experience
Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises
Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
