The Quality Engineer will support the Receiving and Final Inspection departments to resolve quality issues by creating and implementing inspection plans while collaborating with various departments to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Create, implement, and maintain inspection plans and dimensional inspection reports to ensure product compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with the Engineering department to ensure quality inspections are supported by proper interpretation of engineering drawings and specification requirements.
- Coordinate and liaise with the production floor to address non-conformances and perform containment actions as needed.
- Support vendor inquiries related to inspection methods, acceptance criteria, and product rejections.
- Assess historical rejection and supplier performance data to support prioritization of quality risk mitigation efforts and recommend appropriate RCCA measures as necessary.
- Establish and document standardized inspection methods and work instructions by product family or process, incorporating inspection technology, and periodically audit existing procedures to ensure accuracy and applicability.
- Adhere to 5S Standards.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, policies for attendance, punctuality, and safety standards.
- Other duties based on the needs of the Quality Department.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with experience in quality management.
- 5+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Aerospace Quality Standards.
- Experience and strong knowledge of inspection methods, manufacturing practices with emphasis on machining, and assembly, and understanding of material and processes specifications and industry standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate with all levels of employees.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing practices.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English (able to read, speak, write and understand).
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).

- Must be a U.S. Person based on ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident). This position is expected to be exposed to information which is subject to U.S. export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
