Lab Corp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team at Brea, CA to include, but not limited to Brea, Fullerton and surrounding areas.
Work Schedule: Flex - This is a casual/per diem position, hours will be as needed. Start and end times may vary between 6:00 am- 6:00pm, Monday – Friday, with rotating weekends.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Minimum Qualifications:
• 6 months or more of experience as phlebotomist
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years or more of experience as phlebotomist
- 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients
- Current or Prior experience at Lab Corp
Additional Job Standards:
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
- Be at least 21 years of age Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Able to attend 2‑week training in California

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
Pay Range: $23.00-$33.00
Float Incentive: Additional $1.50/hr. plus mileage reimbursement
