Avocado is currently looking for a Sewer to be part of the Production Team. This candidate will join a dynamic, fast‑growing team working across our multiple factory locations and will be responsible for helping create our eco‑friendly, organic mattresses!

  Here at Avocado Green Brands, we treasure teamwork and working together in person. Depending on the role, you will be working on‑site at one of our Fullerton locations.
• Note on Pay Transparency:
  The pay range for this role is $16.50 – $17.44 Hourly.

• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
• Feed raw materials or components into semi‑automated machines (4000 serger, 515 serger, single multi needle, walking foot, ETC…).
• Operate a variety of industrial sewing machines to stitch components accurately.
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift, including thread breaks or machine jams.
• Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

• Proven experience as a sewing machine operator, including all gauge double needle, single needle, bartacker, and overlock machines.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear).
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow company safety culture and Cal/OSHA regulations.
• Ability to identify and report work hazards, incidents, and injuries to management.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

• Lifting:
  Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25–40 lbs. as needed.
• Movement:
  Frequent sitting at sewing machines; occasional standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
• Dexterity:
  Excellent hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling fabrics, threads, and machine controls.
• Environment:
  Ability to work in a production setting with sewing equipment, moderate noise levels, and repetitive tasks.
• Vision:
  Ability to visually inspect fabric and seams for quality and accuracy.
