Role Overview

Tolemar Manufacturing is seeking a Senior TIG Welder / Fabricator to join our R&D / Product Development team
. This role is focused on designing, prototyping, and validating new products across powersports and motorcycle platforms, working hands‑on with vehicles, tooling, and engineering teams prior to production release.

This position is ideal for a fabricator with experience in performance exhaust systems, chassis components, or prototype development
, who understands how real‑world fitment, tooling, and fixtures translate into repeatable production parts
.

Product Development Focus

• SXS / UTV platforms (RZR and similar): exhaust systems and performance components
• Motorcycle products
  : handlebars and accessories
• Off‑road systems
  : whip and flag‑mounted components

Key Responsibilities

• Precision TIG welding of prototype exhaust systems, handlebars, and accessory components
• Measure, mock up, and test‑fit parts on new SXS and motorcycle platforms
• Support measurement, scanning, and layout for new product development
• Design, build, and refine development tooling, fixtures, and weld jigs
• Modify and iterate parts and tooling through development and test cycles
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD‑based designs
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and product teams to ensure designs are production‑ready
• Provide fabrication and tooling feedback to improve manufacturability, consistency, and fitment
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment while following safety standards

Required Experience

• 5+ years TIG welding experience
• Background in exhaust fabrication, performance automotive, motorcycle, or powersports fabrication
• Strong TIG welding skills with stainless steel, aluminum, and steel
• Experience working from measurements, prints, and development targets
• Ability to independently solve fitment, tooling, and fabrication challenges
• High attention to detail and quality in welds and finishes

Preferred Skills

• Experience in an R&D or prototype fabrication environment
• SXS / UTV platform experience (RZR, etc.)
• Motorcycle handlebar or accessory fabrication experience
• Tube bending and complex fit‑up
• Back‑purged stainless TIG welding
• Experience building fixtures, jigs, and prototype tooling
• Ability to review or mark up CAD drawings (Solid Works, Fusion 360, or similar)
• Experience measuring or scanning parts for development
• AWS certification (plus, not required)
