We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Facilities Maintenance Mechanic I. The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic I performs various maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing), electrical systems, and building components to ensure a safe and functional living environment for students. Key duties include performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting and repairing systems, using computerized maintenance systems and Building Maintenance systems adhering to safety regulations, often while working within different trades like carpentry, painting, and electrical.

Operate, test, install, repair, and maintain mechanical systems, especially HVAC and plumbing, including water systems and their associated equipment. Conduct scheduled inspections, lubrication, filter replacements, and other tasks to ensure equipment reliability and performance. Perform a large range of lock and access control repair and maintenance. Perform a wide range of skilled maintenance and minor repair work on both the interior and exterior of buildings, including facilities in student housing areas.

Perform maintenance and repair on low-voltage control systems and assist with higher voltage repairs as needed. Utilize computerized maintenance systems (CMMS) and building automation systems to document work, manage preventive maintenance, and track inventory. Other duties as assigned.
