Job Title: Graduate Assistant - Admissions

Job Type: This is a full time, exempt position.
General Description:The duties of the Graduate Assistant “Admissions” will be to assist the Director of Campus Undergraduate in all areas of the operations of the admissions program. This individual must be dynamic and willing and able to reach out to others. The Graduate Assistant (GA) must be capable of positively responding to a wide variety of situations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Oversee University Ambassadors Hours and tasks
- Meeting with visiting students and parents in the absence of the admissions counselors
- Handling incoming phone calls for absent admissions counselors from students or parents with questions.
- Updating salesforce with information on inquiries and applicants, cleaning up data!
- Weekend tours, as needed.
- Assisting WWU event preparation
- Assisting reps to stay on top of inquiries during the fall and spring travel seasons
- Update contacts from MO high Schools and junior colleges.
- Create marketing material
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must maintain consistent office hours as agreed upon by the Director and selected individual.
- Ability to climb several flights of stairs several times each day and move freely on campus.
- Ability to crouch, kneel, bend, or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to spend time outdoors.
- Ability to speak and read English fluently.
- Ability to hear.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard and phone.
- Effective mobility skills required to move about freely and quickly in office and on campus.
Graduate Assistants work an average of 20-25 hours per week. The Graduate Assistant is not required to work during the summer months but may continue to take classes.
Compensation:
This is a 24-month position beginning January 2026 and ending in December 2027. Includes full tuition in a master’s program, housing on campus year-round (if available), and board when the campus dining facility is open.
