Lumix Electrical, Inc. is seeking a motivated CAD Design Assistant to support the development of comprehensive electrical design packages for custom industrial projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their knowledge in AutoCAD drafting, NEC compliance, and real-world electrical applications. You’ll work side‑by‑side with senior designers, engineers, and production teams to create accurate schematics, layouts, and component lists—playing a vital role in the successful execution of complex electrical builds.

Assist in creating detailed electrical schematics, cabinet/panel layouts, equipment drawings, and bills of material using AutoCAD, Excel, and related tools.

Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and company safety and manufacturing standards.

Support design process improvement initiatives and help implement updates to standards or templates.

Coordinate with project managers, field electricians, controls engineers, and sales to gather necessary information and deliver accurate designs.

Interpret NEC requirements and technical specifications to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance.

Generate electrical component lists and bill of materials for procurement purposes.

Participate in production scheduling meetings and help align design timelines with fabrication needs.

Provide support for troubleshooting and service on existing or legacy designs across departments.

Proficiency in AutoCAD (minimum 2 years preferred).

Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) is highly preferred.

Hands‑on knowledge of industrial or commercial electrical systems is a plus.

Solid computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work in a team environment.

Associate’s degree in drafting, engineering, or a related field preferred.

Must be able to commute to Fulton, MO, or relocate to within a 30‑mile radius before starting work.
