Your Responsibilities

As an Environmental Engineer for John Deere Turf Care - Fuquay located in Fuquay Varina, NC, you will:

  • Manage all environmental compliance obligations for the site
  • Provide technical and process support to maintain compliance with environmental regulations
  • Lead and administer environmental compliance programs, including Air, Water, Waste, Chemical Reporting, and others
  • Collect, analyze, and report environmental data to support compliance and sustainability initiatives
  • Ensure the facility maintains ISO 14001:2015 certification requirements
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, both during and outside of regular business hours

Work Schedule:

Four 9‑hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, a half-day shift on Friday, with each day beginning at 7:30am.

What Skills You Need
  • Experience managing environmental compliance at the site level
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage both factory leadership and production team members
  • Demonstrates strong self-direction and thrives in an independent work environment
What Makes You Standout
  • Experience creating and/or updating environment plans, permits and standard operating procedures
  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience working with environment management systems and ISO 14001:2015 certification
Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
