. The position is located in our Fuquay‑Varina store serving the Raleigh, NC metro market.
Represent the company by selling Compact Construction Equipment to construction contractors, landscapers, rental companies and governmental agencies within the Southern Wake area.
Basic Functions and Responsibilities- Represent the company for the sale of Compact Construction Machinery within local MSA. Production metrics include units sold, total sales volume and gross margin dollars.
- Serve as Account Manager for key B2B customer accounts. Develop a deep understanding of each customer’s business, needs, challenges and goals and work to develop solutions through unique combinations of Quality Equipment products and support. Document key account activity in the Handle 2.0 CRM program.
- Prospect for new customers in local geographic area in customer segments including construction contractors (and other trades), governmental agencies, rental companies and landscaping businesses.
- Keep current on product knowledge, features and benefits of all equipment sold by Quality Equipment, LLC, specifically focusing on Compact Construction Equipment.
- Remain abreast of competitive activity, competitor’s products and aspects that will affect the products these customers will buy today and into the future.
- Maintain company assets and other equipment (e.g., vehicle, phone, computer) as assigned.
- Conduct product demonstrations at customer job sites.
- Maintain in good, usable and current condition all manuals, price lists and other documents given to the individual by the company. Accurately complete all documents related to sales transactions in a timely manner.
- Evaluate used equipment values for trading purposes.
- Follow up with customers after closing a sale to ensure satisfaction.
- Support and promote products and services from all departments of Quality Equipment (parts and service) and coordinate between customers and Parts/Service Managers at various locations.
- Good understanding of local conditions with knowledge of sale and resale values of machinery.
- Self‑starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Compact construction equipment experience or background preferred.
- Ability to drive, load and pull a trailer.

Medium to high. - Weight requirements:
Lifting up to 50 lbs. - Mobility:
Squatting, bending, climbing, lifting, reaching, twisting, standing, sitting and repetitive keyboarding for long durations. - Visual:
Working with PC, online content, manuals and close detailed work. - Work environment:
Exposure to extreme weather, fumes, airborne particles and moving mechanical parts. - Dexterity:
Ability to grasp and manipulate tools, equipment and machines.
