Job Description
This role involves operating a sit-down, Lull forklift in an outdoor and warehouse environment to safely handle concrete moldings and construction materials. You will work Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., supporting a variety of projects throughout the day and assisting with general labor tasks as needed.
ResponsibilitiesOperate a sit-down Lull forklift in an outdoor and warehouse setting to safely load, unload, and move concrete moldings and construction materials.
Handle material loading and unloading from trucks and designated storage areas with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
Support general labor tasks such as picking, staging, and organizing materials to keep work areas clean and orderly.
Assist with various construction‑related projects throughout the day, adapting to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
Work with excavators or other construction equipment when required, following all safety procedures and site guidelines.
Inspect forklift and related equipment before use, reporting any issues or maintenance needs promptly.
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to protect people, equipment, and materials.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of daily assignments.
Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift in an outdoor environment, not limited to a traditional manufacturing floor.
Experience as a construction forklift operator or equivalent experience in a construction setting.
Demonstrated ability to safely and efficiently handle concrete moldings and other heavy materials.
Experience with material handling, including loading, unloading, and general warehouse operations.
Ability to perform general labor duties, including picking, organizing, and supporting construction‑related tasks.
Familiarity with construction equipment, such as excavators or similar machinery.
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to established procedures and guidelines.
Versatility and flexibility to move between different projects and tasks throughout the day.
Experience in a warehouse and outdoor work environment.
Previous exposure to construction sites or construction‑related operations.
Comfort working in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.
Ability to work a full‑time schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability in a fast‑paced setting.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fuquay Varina, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
