Radiology Tech II
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist II, sometimes referred to as a Computer Tomography (CT) Tech. In this role you will specialize in operating CT scanners and X‑ray machines to produce cross‑sectional images for diagnosing medical conditions and informing treatment plans.

To perform duties in this position you must be certified in two modalities.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients and ensure they are properly positioned on the CT table; explain the procedure with empathy, address any concerns.
- Operate CT scanners and X‑ray machines to obtain images of targeted body parts, adjusting settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure and ensuring radiation safety.
- Monitor patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Assist radiologists and administer contrast agents or perform related procedures as required.
- Maintain quality assurance of CT scanners and X‑ray machines, ensuring they function properly and produce accurate images.
- Maintain radiologic supplies, ensuring equipment is in good operating order and following infection control and hygiene protocols.
- Participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Control activities; assist in maintaining Performance Improvement Programs.
- Maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accreditation and Alabama State Board of Healing Arts license.
- Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
- Effective July 1, 2017 appropriate national certifications in two modalities.
- Current BCLS (AHA).
- Familiarity with State and Federal regulations.
- One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Preferred:
One year of Acute Clinical Radiography.
