River Region Psychiatry Associates is seeking a dedicated full-time PMHNP to join our team in Gadsden, AL. This role involves providing compassionate inpatient mental health care in a collaborative environment.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Call: 1 night per week & 1 weekend per month
• Setting: Inpatient

Requirements

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess a minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing.
• Those six years are composed of a 4-year undergraduate nursing program followed by a 2-year nurse practitioner master's program that includes psychiatric nursing.
• Must have or pursuing a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Prior experience in providing mental health counseling services within a clinical setting

• Must possess a State License to practice Nursing and it must be in good standing.
• Must possess the knowledge base in health promotion maintenance, advanced pathophysiology, advanced health assessment and pharmacology for advanced practice nurses.
• Must possess the following concepts: individual and family psychotherapy, psychiatric-mental health nursing across the lifespan, advanced assessment in psychiatric-mental health nursing and psychopharmacology.
