** What You’ll Do
** The Innovation Hub Assistant provides essential support to the Innovation Hub Coordinator in fostering a productive and welcoming environment. This role primarily focuses on delivering direct training and technical assistance to users on various technologies and equipment within the hub. The Assistant will also contribute to the daily operational tasks, including scheduling support, routine maintenance, and ensuring the overall upkeep of the hub's resources to facilitate a smooth user experience.
* Perform routine checks and basic cleaning of Innovation Hub equipment.
* Monitor and manage consumable supplies (e.g., 3D printing filament, materials), reporting needs to the Coordinator.
* Assist with light maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, escalating complex issues to the Coordinator.
* Reinforce safety procedures for all hub users and equipment.
* Assist with managing the booking and scheduling system for Innovation Hub resources and spaces.
* Support the daily operations of the hub, ensuring a clean, organized, and accessible environment.
* Help coordinate user access and monitor activity, ensuring adherence to hub policies.
* Provide direct technical assistance and troubleshooting support to students, faculty, and staff using the hub's resources.
* Assist the Innovation Hub Coordinator in delivering workshops and training sessions on the safe and effective use of Innovation Hub equipment and software (e.g., 3D printers, VR/AR equipment, laser cutters, specialized software).
* Help maintain and organize user guides, tutorials, and other instructional materials.
* Engage with users, answer questions, and direct them to appropriate resources within the Innovation Hub.
* Assist the Coordinator in promoting the hub’s capabilities and facilitating collaborative projects.
** Who We’re Looking For
** We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:
* An Associate’s degree in a technology-related field (e.g., Computer Programming & Web Development, Game Development Design, Engineering Technology, Applied Artificial Intelligence, and Unmanned Vehicle Systems).
* Graduation from an accredited college or university, and 1 year of experience; or a combination of education and/or experience.
