Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day shift Stepdown/Med-Surg/Telemetry position requiring at least 1 year of recent specialty experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

• Work in a Med/Surg/Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Stepdown patient care responsibilities
• 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
• 13-week contract assignment
• No local travelers accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Provides direct nursing care for stepdown and telemetry patients
• Requests for time off must be less than 1 week
• No first time travelers will be considered
• Return to assignment not permitted if previously worked as permanent staff at the specific health system within the past 2 years

• Active AL or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry or Stepdown required
• Licenses and certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the last 2 years are not eligible
