Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic

Our Truck Service team is comprised of nearly 3,000 highly skilled technicians spanning coast to coast. As a Diesel Technician, you will provide accurate, efficient service to customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy‑duty trucks and trailers in a professional and accommodating manner.
In this role, you can expect to:- Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on providing great service where the expectations of customers are exceeded
- Have extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide
- Diagnose wear conditions and, together with the Service Technician Supervisor or Manager, make recommendations to customers
- Complete repairs within your capabilities and as written
- Understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs
- Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and/or customers
- A dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be part of our team!
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in a repair or parts shop preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays in interior and exterior conditions
- A valid driver’s license

$18.00 – $24.00 per hour

In this role, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. Standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending over, crouching, crawling, climbing, and repetitive use of legs are done occasionally. The team member is occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs and/or move heavy objects. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing these duties, the employee may be exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons. The employee may also be exposed to fumes and particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level can be loud employee may be exposed to dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, high‑concentrated cleaning solutions, etc.
