What You’ll Do
As Maintenance Technician II
, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe and efficient environment at the Institute.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for:
Performing preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment, including carpentry/masonry duties for repairs or modifications.
Repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical systems, plumbing systems and their components.
Operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and components, including building automation systems.
Operating, maintaining, and repairing vehicles including tractors, forklifts, boom lifts, loaders, large trucks, and motorized carts. Maintaining and repairing all small equipment used in the maintenance area. Supervising temporary help, performing concrete work, lock repairs, and moving equipment and furniture as needed.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:
Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent diploma.
Four years of experience in at least two of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, electronics, and carpentry/masonry.
