IT Operations Support Associate; Entry-Level

Hamrick’s is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Operations Support Associate to join our Information Technology team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals starting their career in IT who are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic retail environment. You will be responsible for providing first-level support for end users, maintaining IT infrastructure, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the IT department.

Provide technical support to employees in stores, warehouses, and corporate offices via phone, email, or ticketing system.

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and mobile devices.

Assist with system installations, updates, and configurations.

Monitor and elevate issues related to servers, network performance, and store connectivity.

Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, including account creation and hardware setup.

Maintain asset inventory records for IT equipment and software licenses.

Perform routine maintenance checks and assist with IT documentation.

Collaborate with team members to improve IT operations and end-user satisfaction.

Assist in testing and rollout of new hardware, software, and system updates.

Follow all IT policies and procedures to ensure security and compliance.

Office and/or retail store setting.

May require lifting of IT equipment (up to 40 lbs).

Occasional travel to store locations for on-site support or rollouts.

High school diploma or GED required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

0–2 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role (internships or coursework may substitute).

Basic understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and network troubleshooting.

Familiarity with retail systems, POS, or ERP software a plus.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends, if needed.
