Basic Job Functions- Supervise and coordinate a team of shift supervisors in the assigned area to meet daily warehouse activities, maintain inventory accuracy and smooth operations in accordance with standards and procedures.
- Resolve operational issues, coach, and manage the work performance of the team.
- Coordinate material inventory and shipments to avoid disruptions to manufacturing operations or customer shipments.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and minimize warehouse expenses.
- Associate degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation, or a business‑related field with five (5) or more years of related supervisory, warehouse, and/or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment, OR a high school diploma/GED with eight (8) or more years of related supervisory, warehouse, and/or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Six Sigma and/or lean certification preferred.
- Experience managing large warehouse teams across multiple shift operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse and inventory control concepts (FIFO, Kanban, cycle counting practices, etc.).
- Proven organizational and supervisory skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with computer applications (Word, Excel, Access, ERP systems, etc.).
- Proven development and training skills.
- Ability to develop a strong safety culture and practice in the workplace.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
- Proven employee relations skills and knowledge of HR practices.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
- Supervise and coordinate a team of Shift Supervisors to maintain inventory accuracy, receiving and shipping activities, and comply with safety standards.
- Resolve operation issues to ensure smooth S&R activities.
- Coach and manage work performance of warehouse associates to align with department expectations and goals.
- Coordinate material inventory and shipment to ensure no disruption to manufacturing operations.
- Interface with stakeholders to ensure correct materials/products flow and maintain accurate shipping/receiving data.
- Resolve receiving/shipping discrepancies to minimize inventory variance.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement to increase departmental efficiency and reduce costs.
- Work with Human Resources to handle employee relations issues promptly.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert within one of the seven focus areas (e.g., material handling equipment, inventory/space management, audit and compliance, finished goods, ETE processes, etc.) and provide documentation, training, and coaching.
- Manage execution at all internal and external warehouses supporting manufacturing sites, ensuring on‑time and continuous material supply.
- Control all warehouse expenses according to the warehouse budget.
- Ensure accurate work instructions and procurement to meet SOX and ISO requirements.
- Account for all KPI’s associated with warehouse operations and implement corrective actions for misses.
- Promote a safety culture and practice within the warehouse operations.
- Lead management, customer, and auditor line walks/MBWA.
- Maintain and supervise warehouse cost control.
- Maintain daily housekeeping/5S in the warehouse.
- Ensure preventive maintenance of all warehouse MHE, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate shunting or interplant truck operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- This position will have direct reports.
- 5%–10% travel.
- If hired during plant start‑up, expected to travel to other First Solar locations for training.
- $78,600 – $112,000 annually.
