Supervisor
- Maintenance USA (1st Shift) – First Solar. Join our team to plan and supervise the scheduling of daily work assignments, train and develop direct reports, and ensure First Solar standards are met.

• Associate degree in an engineering, mechanical, or electrical field (desired).
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, mechanical, or electrical field (preferred).
• 10 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (required).
• 3+ years of leadership experience or 2+ years as First Solar Maintenance Team Lead or Tech 3 (required).

• Electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems or laser operations (desired).
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and CMMS (CMMS preferred).
• Organizational and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Problem‑solving skills.

• Ensure daily equipment uptime, following escalation procedures.
• 1st echelon on‑call coverage for equipment and personnel issues, including weekends.
• Schedule and assign daily maintenance work; accomplish maintenance planning.
• Develop and train maintenance technicians.
• Handle disciplinary actions with associates.
• Supervise on‑site service and repair of process equipment; manage parts inventory.
• Adjust workloads and schedules to meet department customers’ needs.
• Maintain CMMS/Maximo compliance, including closing work orders, scanner compliance, PM printing, and system upkeep.
• Guarantee availability of production and support equipment; manage workforce planning, waste elimination, quality and safety compliance.
• Ensure contractors and vendors comply with company safety procedures.
• Interface daily with other departments, supplier personnel, and off‑site vendors.
• Supervise troubleshooting and servicing of all energy sources and the preventative maintenance program.
• Manage timely completion of special projects.
• Communicate effectively and foster team building.
• Identify and recommend cost‑saving opportunities.
• Manage hazardous waste responsibilities of Maintenance Associates.
• Inform EHS Department of waste issues and new associate training needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position has direct reports.

0–5% travel for training or other occasions. Travel to other First Solar locations may be required during plant start‑up.

$78,600 – $112,000 annually.

• Reach above shoulder height and below waist frequently; stoop, kneel, or bend occasionally.
• Comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• Wear personal protective equipment as required.
