American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift resource pool position requiring 2+ years of MS/Tele experience and SC or compact RN licensure.

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital resource float pool
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• On-call required for holiday coverage
• Floats within scope to other units at Church Street and Mary Black campuses as needed
• RN will be notified in advance of scheduled campus assignment
• Not eligible for block scheduling

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience required; 1 year considered case by case
• 3 years of MS/Tele experience required for travel experience consideration
• Recent Epic EMR experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must pass cardiac dysrhythmia test on first day of orientation with only one attempt allowed
• Pending RN license accepted but must be finalized before start date

• Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Holiday coverage required: either 1 holiday with 2 on-call/additional shifts per 6 weeks, or 2 holidays with no on-call
• All RTO must be submitted with initial application; requests made afterward will not be considered
• Attendance policy in place; more than two missed shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation
• Shaving may be required to pass an onsite respirator fit test
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous permanent staff of this health system are not eligible to return as travelers
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
