American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

• MS/Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Weekend shifts as needed
• On-call required for holiday coverage
• Float pool position with floating required within scope to other units and campuses as needed
• Open to 4x12 (48s) scheduling
• Not open to block scheduling

• Active SC or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted but must be obtained before start)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience required; 1 year considered case by case
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Epic charting experience preferred but not required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must pass Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test on first day of orientation with only one attempt allowed
• Must be able to pass a fit test onsite, which may require shaving facial hair

• Provide nursing care for medical/surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• RN will be allocated to one campus but may float to the main campus based on facility needs and will be informed of schedule in advance
• Holiday coverage required per facility policy: either 1 holiday with 2 on-call/additional shifts per 6 weeks, or 2 holidays with no on-call
• Attendance policy in effect: missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation
• All RTO must be submitted at time of initial consideration; requests made afterward will not be accommodated
• First-time travelers accepted
• Previous permanent staff at this health system are not eligible to return as travelers
• Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
