Job Summary
Performs straight forward network architecture assignments under moderate direction. Uses knowledge to support the planning, researching, evaluating, designing, and developing network systems. Participates in configuration, installation, and performance analysis of networks.
What you’ll do- Design and engineer fiber optic outside plant telecommunications networks.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess potential locations for fiber optic cable deployment.
- Prepare detailed engineering specifications, drawings, and documentation for projects.
- Analyze network performance and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Work closely with project stakeholders to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for outside plant issues.
- Maintain accurate records of network assets and infrastructure changes.
Telecom Consultant Associate SG6
Education- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, telecommunications, or related field of study
- Or Associate’s degree in field mentioned above with 2 years of relevant work experience
- Or HS diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience required
- No additional experience, other than what is listed above, is required.
- Valid Driver’s License is Required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, telecommunications, or related field of study
- Or Associate’s degree in field mentioned above with 2 years of relevant work experience
- Or HS diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience required.
- 2 years of relevant work experience in addition to any experience mentioned above.
- Valid Driver’s License is Required.
- Possess entry to basic level knowledge of communications technologies and inter-networking principles.
- Demonstrate competency in analytical techniques necessary to handle basic assignments.
- Exhibit fundamental understanding for pertinent telecom equipment, materials, systems and business processes.
- Use initiative in looking for opportunities and presenting new ideas and new approaches.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate the ability to be a team player.
- Relate to people in an open, friendly, and sincere manner.

CompensationTelecom Consultant Associate SG6 ($72,380-$90,474.50)
Telecom Consultant SG7 ($85,081-$106,353)
