Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Position Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Position Description

The Occupational Therapist has a primary responsibility to accelerate client success and drive coordination of care with ABA services. The OT will formulate and implement individualized treatment plans for a caseload of clients in their assigned location. They will ensure the oversight of clinical quality, prescription fulfillment, ethical practice, and client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct, design and implement programs for OT services for assigned clients.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients.
  • Repeat evaluations regularly to measure progress according to professional guidelines.
  • Maintain a caseload of on average 25 billable hours/week.
  • Ensure client programming is ethical, appropriately individualized, and provided with integrity.
  • Update progress reports for assigned clients.
  • Document all activities according to professional and funder guidelines.
  • Stay current with professional literature, research, and best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and drive processes.
  • Coordinate care with ABA and Speech services.
  • Maintain relationships with parents and conduct caregiver collaboration and training sessions.
  • Provide input and leadership in business direction.
  • Conduct clinical presentations to staff to promote collaboration and skill development.
  • Attend clinical staff meetings and collaboration meetings with BCBAs.
  • Promote Bierman Autism Centers within the community.
Requirements

Essential Job Functions

  • Must be able to lift and carry clients who are at least 30 pounds.
  • Must have adequate hearing to evaluate client’s speech.
  • Must be able and willing to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Support Plan when working with children with challenging behavior.
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures for extended periods.
  • Must be able to walk and run to chase clients while maintaining a three-foot distance at all times.
  • Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing.
  • Must have manual dexterity to perform computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
  • Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication on computers or paper.
  • Must be able to transfer written data to electronic files or database systems.
  • Must be able to work prolonged periods on a computer while seated.
  • Must be able to assemble, clean, and maintain therapy space.
  • Must be able to administer medication to clients.

Position Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT).
  • NBCOT Certification.
  • Current Licensure.
  • Strong organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication with colleagues, direct reports, and caregivers.
  • Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate appropriately.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet team needs across the organization.
  • Act with integrity and professionalism.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Knowledge of macOS and comfortable operating in a primarily macOS environment.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s technology platforms, including Central Reach and Tableau.
  • Maintain required licensure to practice while employed.

Pay

Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. $70,000 - $85,000.
