Position Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Position DescriptionThe Occupational Therapist has a primary responsibility to accelerate client success and drive coordination of care with ABA services. The OT will formulate and implement individualized treatment plans for a caseload of clients in their assigned location. They will ensure the oversight of clinical quality, prescription fulfillment, ethical practice, and client outcomes.

- Direct, design and implement programs for OT services for assigned clients.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients.
- Repeat evaluations regularly to measure progress according to professional guidelines.
- Maintain a caseload of on average 25 billable hours/week.
- Ensure client programming is ethical, appropriately individualized, and provided with integrity.
- Update progress reports for assigned clients.
- Document all activities according to professional and funder guidelines.
- Stay current with professional literature, research, and best practices.
- Develop, implement, and drive processes.
- Coordinate care with ABA and Speech services.
- Maintain relationships with parents and conduct caregiver collaboration and training sessions.
- Provide input and leadership in business direction.
- Conduct clinical presentations to staff to promote collaboration and skill development.
- Attend clinical staff meetings and collaboration meetings with BCBAs.
- Promote Bierman Autism Centers within the community.
Essential Job Functions
- Must be able to lift and carry clients who are at least 30 pounds.
- Must have adequate hearing to evaluate client’s speech.
- Must be able and willing to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Support Plan when working with children with challenging behavior.
- Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures for extended periods.
- Must be able to walk and run to chase clients while maintaining a three-foot distance at all times.
- Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing.
- Must have manual dexterity to perform computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
- Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication on computers or paper.
- Must be able to transfer written data to electronic files or database systems.
- Must be able to work prolonged periods on a computer while seated.
- Must be able to assemble, clean, and maintain therapy space.
- Must be able to administer medication to clients.
Position Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT).
- NBCOT Certification.
- Current Licensure.
- Strong organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication with colleagues, direct reports, and caregivers.
- Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate appropriately.
- Detail oriented.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet team needs across the organization.
- Act with integrity and professionalism.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- Knowledge of macOS and comfortable operating in a primarily macOS environment.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s technology platforms, including Central Reach and Tableau.
- Maintain required licensure to practice while employed.
Exempt, Full Time
PayCompetitive salary based on qualifications and experience. $70,000 - $85,000.
