Otterbein Hospice provides professional, personalized, and holistic medical care to ensure physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort for clients and their families. Guided by Otterbein’s faith‑based ministry, clinical skills, and community ties, we offer high‑quality compassionate care across outpatient, home health, and hospice settings.

• Provide personal care to patients with dignity and respect for their rights.
• Maintain accurate hospice STNA plans of care for each patient assigned.
• Observe, record, and report patient symptoms, emotional and physical status, and any changes to the RN.
• Assist with feeding as needed.
• Communicate appropriately with patients, families, and agency personnel.
• Attend required in‑services and meetings (minimum 12 hours of in‑services per year).
• Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings to coordinate care and problem‑solve.
• Participate in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities as indicated.
• Travel between Lebanon, Middletown, and Springboro to see patients.

• Minimum age 18.
• GED or high‑school graduate (at least 9th grade completion).
• CNA/State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification, active on the Ohio registry, and CPR certification.
• Minimum one (1) year of direct patient care experience, preferably in institutional or home hospice settings.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and the needs of terminally ill patients.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation meeting Ohio requirements.
