Each year, we sponsor around 20 employees through the Santa Fe College HVAC Apprentice Program so they can earn a 4 year HVAC or Plumbing Apprenticeship Certificate. These Team members work full time for our company and make a commitment to the 4 year program by attending classes 2 days a week for 4 years.

Comfort Temp also houses many in-house training opportunities to support our team’s growth in the trade taught by senior staff or certified instructors with plans to launch our own Comfort Academy Training Program by the end of 2024! Our relationships with our wonderful vendors also enable Comfort Temp to house training programs brought in by various vendors to keep our team on the cutting edge of new technology or advancements in systems.

The Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist manages both sides of the transaction cycle: making sure vendor invoices are accurate, approved, and paid on time, and making sure customers are billed correctly and payments are posted and collected. The role works closely with Purchasing, Project Management, Service, Warehouse, and Finance.

• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices; perform two- and three-way matching to purchase orders and receipts.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and obtain approvals from internal teams before payment deadlines.
• Prepare scheduled check, ACH, and electronic payment runs under company authorization controls.
• Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices.
• Post and reconcile customer payments and monitor aging reports to ensure timely collection.
• Resolve billing issues, chargebacks, and payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer records and respond to account inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements and track credits, returns, and adjustments.
• Support month-end close and audits through AP and AR reconciliations and documentation.

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Quick Books, Foundation, Viewpoint, or Sage, and strong Excel skills.
