Job Overview
As a certified Safelite Seasonal Repair Specialist I, you will use industry‑leading technology to repair vehicle glass, champion the Safelite Spirit with a can‑do attitude and a caring heart, and bring unexpected happiness to customers through high‑quality service.
In this role you will learn the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians, while managing work orders, customer communication, and shop housekeeping tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Learn to repair vehicle glass (classroom and hands‑on) following the Safelite Way of Fitting.
- Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass related issues on customer vehicles.
- Manage work orders and customer documentation using the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
- Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
- Clean customer vehicles during wait/idle time and perform housekeeping tasks in the company vehicle and shop.
- Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools, and chemicals used throughout the workday.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Comply with all company policies and safety standards.
- This position includes driving duties monitored by cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies.
- Competitive weekly base pay starting at $17.75 per hour.
- Paid training and all the tools and resources you need to succeed.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred).
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license and any additional licenses required to operate a company vehicle.
- Completion of Safelite Safe Tech™ certification.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs for short periods; assist with lifting windshields weighing 26–50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend, and twist.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools and ability to operate a motor vehicle safely.
- Work outside in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures for extended periods.
- Experience working with chemicals, including flammable substances, per the Safelite Way of Fitting.
- Flexible scheduling on days with adapted start and end times to meet customer needs.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot independently and collaboratively.
- English reading, writing, and communication skills, including oral phone communication and written tech feedback.
- Professional appearance and adherence to uniform and PPE policies.
- Resilience under professional or personal pressure and opposition.
