Job Responsibilities

Summary of the Position:

Perform demand planning activities for The Harris Products Group. Develop and publish a rolling 18-month consensus demand plan for the Equipment and Gas business segment. Execute statistical forecasting to create baseline forecast for all finished goods. Collaborate with commercial teams and key stakeholders to generate a demand plan that achieves revenue, margin, and customer service goals. Maintain material demand forecast within planning systems and ERP to drive material and production planning activities in a hybrid MTO and MTS manufacturing planning environment.

  • Maintain safe and injury-free workplace
  • Identify, establish, and maintain material demand forecasting parameters
  • Generate and maintain material demand forecast within ERP
  • Monitor and analyze sales order to demand plan performance
  • Execute monthly demand planning activities to include S&OP Demand Review
  • Publish metric and analytical reports
  • Generate cost savings ideas and completion of projects

Key Responsibilities and

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with internal customers, which includes sales, marketing, finance, customer service, operations, and production planning
  • Execute statistical baseline forecasting at the location/material level.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with commercial teams to incorporate their input into monthly demand plan.
  • Develop product, market, customer, and competition understanding, and incorporate market intelligence into demand planning activities and demand plan creation.
  • Facilitate monthly S&OP Demand Reviews to reach consensus; timely publish materials, track attendance, drive key decision‑making, and maintain action log.
  • Align on and track assumptions and actions behind demand plan numbers to reach consensus and drive accountability.
  • Publish rolling 18‑month consensus demand plan at location/material level and maintain within planning systems and ERP.
  • Calculate and publish monthly demand planning KPIs.
  • Conduct relentless root cause analysis to service and forecast accuracy issues; develop and implement corrective actions to drive performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with product development, R&D, commercial, finance, and procurement on New Product launches.
  • Leverage systems and business intelligence tools to conduct data analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting master data in ERP system to drive effective use of systems and tools for planning
  • Maintain effective communications with all key stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for cost, process and supplier performance improvements
  • Other duties may be assigned
Job Requirements

Education and/or

Experience:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics or similar degree with five to seven years’ related experience in Demand Planning activities.

Preferred:

  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) implementation experience, advanced planning systems implementation for Demand Planning like APO DP or similar system. IBF or APICS Certification…
