- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient working environment for all projects. If an issue cannot be resolved, inform the Project Superintendent and implement appropriate corrective action procedures.
- Perform daily and weekly safety audits in accordance with the Middleburg Corporate Safety Manual.
- Ensure that the materials provided by the company are protected from the elements, secured, controlled, distributed, and applied effectively.
- Ensure that all personnel on site wear appropriate PPE and comply with Middleburg, OSHA, and local, state, and federal safety standards.
- Interpret plan details and communicate requirements to external/internal partners (sub‑contractors, etc.).
- Determine and assess sub‑contractor staffing levels throughout framing/MEP scope durations.
- Understand and communicate the requirements of the master and contract schedules as they relate to framing and MEP contractors.
- Possess a detailed understanding of the scope of framing and MEP subcontractor contracts.
- Ensure subcontractor contracts are being followed and enforced; attend all weekly subcontractor meetings.
- Ensure that all construction materials—including waterproofing materials, flashing, windows, truss systems, exterior siding, hold‑downs, and hardware—are installed according to industry standards.
- Maintain daily project logs and inspections in Procore, including photos, activity logs, manpower, safety concerns, and violations.
- Prepare a list of infill materials needed and notify the Project Superintendent of their availability.
- Assess, monitor, and document the quality of work using measuring tools, gauges, and automation; upload QC checklists to Procore.
- Manage all mock‑ups, box walks, and third‑party assembly testing.
- Read and understand all construction documents related to structural, architectural, and MEP/FP work.
- Organize, coordinate, and document all inspections in progress and final inspections.
- Notify the Project Superintendent of any deviation from the schedule.
- Assist in resolving conflicting documents through Project Team consultation or requests for information.
- Maintain accurate rolling inventory levels and compare them with remaining take‑offs.
- Ensure that MEP activities and supplies are carried out and installed as specified in the construction documents.
- Maintain and update the master project schedule and look‑ahead schedule in conjunction with the project team.
- Participate in subcontractor meetings and weekly toolbox talks.
- Ensure the construction process is conducted in accordance with all policies, procedures, quality standards, and codes and regulations.
- 7+ years’ experience in commercial/residential ground‑up wood‑framed buildings; multi‑family experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with MS Project, Procore, and Microsoft Office.
- High adaptive team player.
- High aptitude with framing/MEP means and methods.
- Organized, neat, and a good communicator with strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of IBC and FBC regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge, understanding, and interpretation of construction plans.
