Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for photography and a desire to make a meaningful impact? If so, join UF - Advancement as a Part-Time Photographer and help tell the university's most inspiring stories. Capture portraiture, document key events, and produce marketing images for digital and print use. You will collaborate with communications specialists to create, edit and share visuals that connect people to the impact of giving.

- Capture high-quality imagery that supports advancement goals, including:
- Donor recognition events, gift announcements, and groundbreaking ceremonies.
- Alumni profiles and reunion activities.
- Impact stories of student scholarships, faculty research, and campus enhancements.
- Major campaigns and annual giving efforts.
- Photograph key figures such as major donors, university leadership, alumni award recipients, and student beneficiaries for use in print and digital materials.
- Edit and retouch images for use across media, ensuring brand consistency and quality.
- Format photography for use in:
- Campaign microsites.
- Impact reports.
- Social media (advancement and alumni accounts).
- Stewardship emails and print materials.
- Collaborate with writers, designers, multimedia producers, marketing specialists, and advancement officers to produce imagery that illustrates the outcomes and value of philanthropic support.
- Create photo essays or series that deepen emotional engagement with fundraising stories.
- Organize and maintain an advancement-specific photo archive with appropriate metadata and usage rights.
- Provide photo support for stewardship and alumni communications calendars.
- Serve as primary photographer for advancement-related events, often during evenings and weekends.
- Support visual needs for capital campaigns and donor engagement initiatives, including case statements, presentations, and campaign launches.
Expected Salary: $22.03 - $29.00 per hour; commensurate with education and experience. This is a part-time TEAMS position and is eligible for a suite of excellent benefits including: health insurance, retirement options, and a generous paid leave plan.

Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in photography, visual communications, journalism, or related field—or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of professional photography experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing event, portrait, and storytelling photography.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in video and photography, including shooting, editing and all stages of production.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other photo, video and audio editing programs.
- Demonstrated creative visual storytelling capabilities and strong organizational, logistical, editing and technical skills.
- Ability to multi-task and problem-solve, using research and analytical skills to develop and implement creative solutions.
- Skill requiring judgment to take initiative, accurately establish priorities, complete complex assignments in a timely manner, and adapt quickly to changing needs and in dealing with conflicting challenges.
- Experience working in a team atmosphere and ability to understand and translate institutional policies/objectives into persuasive communications preferred with the ability to work with other communication professionals across campus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
