Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
• Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
• Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

Typical Day – Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
• Engage with guests who need assistance to solve their specific needs
• Inform guests of current promos, store activities and events
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
• Explain benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Explain and demonstrate features of the Target App including Wallet; assist with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering
• Handle returns per policy, escalating to leadership as needed
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
• Stock supplies during store hours while being available for guests
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; follow safety policies and report hazards
• Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up, and related duties while complying with relevant laws
• All other duties based on business needs

Basics We Expect

• Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely; frequent lifting up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting up to 44 pounds
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance
• Remain mobile for the duration of shift; shift length may vary
• Work in varying temperatures and environments (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout)
