Federal Study - Blood Drive Promoter; LifeSouth

Overview

Life South Community Blood Centers is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. This Federal Work Study position reports to the Regional Manager in Gainesville, FL. The Blood Drive Promoter will assist in scheduling and promotion of blood drives, to recruit student blood donors within the community and on campus.

• Promotion of upcoming drives and events
• Community outreach to individuals or businesses over the phone or in person
• Cold calls to potential new accounts
• On-site recruitment
• May assist with the production of promotional materials

Part-time, primarily between normal business hours (Mon-Fri, 9:00am – 5:00pm) but could also include some night and/or weekend hours.

• Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent customer service and public speaking skills
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with computer programs, such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)

$14.00/hour

This is a Federal Work Study position, no exceptions. Must provide proof of work study in application.

Position requires routine lifting and moving of items up to 25 lbs.
