Cardiothoracic Surgery PA

Overview

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking an experienced cardiac physician assistant to join an established cardiothoracic surgery practice.

• Support our well-respected and experienced cardiothoracic surgeons in our employed practice
• Rounding on patients in the hospital
• First assisting in cardiac and thoracic surgery procedures
• Work at one hospital
• Some ICU work - depending on need
• Experience in the OR preferred, willing to train the ideal candidate
• Experience with cardiothoracic patients preferred
• Proficient in vein harvesting (EVH and open) is ideal but can be taught

• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery or willingness to train
• Ability to perform rounding and first assist in cardiac/thoracic procedures
• Comfort with ICU responsibilities as needed
• Ongoing learning and teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment
• EVH proficiency is ideal but not required; training available
