Overview
Emergency Medicine/Critical Care Physician & Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor – UF College of Medicine - Jacksonville. Full-time intensivist with a balance of 50% Critical Care and 50% Emergency Medicine responsibilities, focusing on patient care and teaching. Appointments may be Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor and require Board eligibility or certification in Critical Care and/or Emergency Medicine. Reports to the Medical Director at the assigned site and the Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at UF College of Medicine-Jacksonville.
Responsibilities- Provide and maintain a high level of in-patient intermediate care services in all aspects of Pulmonary and Critical Care.
- Provide clinical teaching of trainees in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine and participate in the educational program.
- Maintain excellent communication with primary care physicians.
- Assist in marketing the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Programs to community physicians and managed care organizations.
- Participate in monthly division meetings, administrative functions and institutional committees as requested.
UF Health in Jacksonville is the largest UF campus outside Gainesville, offering primary care and specialty services with substantial outpatient visits and inpatient admissions. The system includes UF Health Jacksonville, UF Health North, UF Health Science Center Jacksonville, and UF Jacksonville Physicians, Inc.
Minimum Requirements- MD/DO in Emergency Medicine.
- BE/BC is preferred. Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine.
