UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville is seeking to hire two General Surgeons to join UF Health at Durbin Park in St. Johns, Florida. Candidates must be MD or DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery, and have broad clinical experience in general surgery, including minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic approaches. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Provide high quality patient care in all aspects of General Surgery services
- Work collaboratively with members of the healthcare team including nurse practitioners, nursing staff, pharmacists, etc.
- Responsible for excellent communication with primary care providers, consulting services and other referring providers
- Assist in marketing the general surgery program to community physicians and managed care organizations
- Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider/departmental meetings, and other clinical and operational meetings as requested

Salary is based on experience with an excellent benefits package.
Required Qualifications- Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes with at least four years of appropriate experience. Completion of a residency program may substitute for the required experience.
- Certification/Licensure in the state of Florida and Federal DEA Certification
- Medical Degree - M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
- Board certified in the appropriate subspecialty
- Completion of an accredited residency program
