The University of Florida (UF) College of Medicine,
Department of Psychiatry is currently recruiting for a faculty psychiatrist for the Adult Psychiatry Division. This faculty position is full-time (1.0 FTE) on the multi-mission, non-tenure track. This position will serve an active role in the clinical, educational, and scholarly life of the Department and the College of Medicine.
Providing inpatient consult-liaison (CL) psychiatry services, including initial psychiatric consultations and follow-up patient care at UF Shands Hospital, a 1,111 bed Level 1 trauma center with a children’s hospital, NCI-designated cancer institute, neuromedicine hospital and highly ranked solid organ transplant programs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to explore and develop interests in outpatient CL populations and in integrated psychiatric care in the primary care setting.
In addition, the successful candidate will serve an important role in clinical education through supervision and teaching of UF medical students, psychiatry residents, and fellows. Opportunities to develop and/or participate in clinical research and/or quality improvement projects are available, and clinical scholarship is strongly encouraged.
This position will report to the Directors of the Division of CL Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry a member of the clinical faculty of the Department of Psychiatry at UF, the position will require participation in on-call coverage of the UF Psychiatric Hospital. Rank is commensurate with education and experience.
Required Qualifications- Applicants must be Board Certified and/or Board Eligible for a M.D. in Psychiatry and must have or be able to obtain a state of Florida Medical License.
- ABPN Board eligibility/certification in Psychiatry is required.
- Completion of a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry is preferred.

- The successful applicant will have a demonstrated record of clinical excellence, experience serving vulnerable populations, as well as scholarly or teaching interest in an academic medical center.
