Nocturnist Acute Care Surgeon - Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
Join the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville (UF COM-J) to serve as a Nocturnist Acute Care Surgeon at the Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. This full‑time, non‑tenure, academic position is based at UF Health Jacksonville Medical Center and UF Health North.
Responsibilities- Provide nighttime coverage for the acute‑care surgery service, including adult and pediatric trauma care, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care.
- Lead the multi‑disciplinary ICU and emergency general surgery teams at UF Health North.
- Participate in case management, supervision of residents and APPs, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in teaching, research, and scholarly activities consistent with faculty expectations.
- MD/DO with board certification or eligibility in general surgery and surgical critical care.
- Eligibility for Florida medical licensure.
- Strong clinical acumen, teamwork, and teaching skills.
Jacksonville Campus, UF Health Jacksonville Medical Center / UF Health North.
Salary and BenefitsAcademic appointment commensurate with training and experience; benefits are excellent.
