Job Description:

A Post-doctoral Associate in Polymer Science position is available to work on a project led by Prof. Adam S. Veige and Prof. Austin M. Evans ( https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) in the Department of Chemistry. The project focuses on exploiting polymer topology to advance next-generation energy storage systems, improve ion-conducting media, and develop cutting-edge mechanical materials. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The initial appointment is for one year, with potential renewal up to two years based on performance and funding availability.

Qualifications:
  • Required:

    Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with molecular and material characterization techniques such as NMR, IR, mass spectrometry, SC-XRD, PXRD, TGA, TEM, and SEM; excellent communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively; initiative, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
