Assistant/Associate Professor (Tenure or Non-Tenure Track)
Appointment:
Full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank (tenure track or non-tenure track). Depending on experience, there may be an opportunity to serve as assistant director/director of the psychology transplant team. The Department mentors junior faculty through a professional identity and development program.
- Inpatient and outpatient clinical work with adult solid organ transplant patients (e.g., liver, heart, and/or lung): pre- and post-transplant assessments, clinical follow-up, supervision of trainees, and participation in Solid Organ Medical Review Board meetings.
- Clinical supervision of trainees; work with postdoctoral fellows, interns, and/or students rotating on the service.
- Clinical program development and potential growth activities related to transplant psychology; participation in clinical coverage for other department faculty as needed based on interests and departmental needs.
- Teaching responsibilities may be assigned, including classroom teaching.
- Possible involvement in research-related activities and departmental teaching commitments as aligned with role and interests.
- Required:
Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field, with a predoctoral internship/residency from an APA-accredited program. - Preferred: licensed or license-eligible in the State of Florida.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and with complex patients and families, with transplant services and chronic illness management; research program leadership/administration and training experience are desirable.
- For tenure-track consideration: demonstrated record of teaching excellence, independent research funding, and the desire to build a research and training program in transplant psychology.
- Associate Professor: experience mentoring doctoral students and early career faculty; demonstrated leadership in the profession of psychology.
- Assistant Professor: potential to develop a record of teaching, research, and leadership as noted above.

The Department of Clinical and Health Psychology (CHP) supports 33 core faculty, 80 doctoral students, and two APA-accredited programs (PhD and internship). The college operates within UF Health Health Science Center, a multi-college system on a single campus with extensive clinical facilities and teaching hospitals.
