The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking Ph.D.
-prepared faculty members with research expertise for full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty positions as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We are particularly interested in individuals who can contribute to research and teaching in the following areas: palliative care; pain and symptom science; bioinformatics, big data & data science; maternal & infant health; and aging.
At UF, the resources of a comprehensive university are linked to exceptional clinical facilities with the goal of applying interdisciplinary research efforts to improve health.
This position is located in Gainesville, FL. This is not a remote or online faculty position.
Key Responsibilities Research- Assistant Professor:
Advance a defined program of research leading to extramural funding. - Associate/Full Professor:
Maintain a focused, extramurally funded program of research. - Collaborate with and lead interdisciplinary research teams.
- Mentor early career faculty, commensurate with rank.
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in research.
- Teach courses in areas of expertise.
- Provide professional service to college, university and profession commensurate with rank.

ExpectedSalary
Commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Requirements- PhD in Nursing or PhD in related discipline from an accredited institution by date of hire.
- Eligible for Florida nursing licensure.
- A program of research and scholarly activity focused on palliative care; pain and symptom science; bioinformatics, big data & data science; maternal & infant health; and aging. Other research areas may also be considered.
- A sustained record of research and extramural funding commensurate with rank.
- A sustained publication record commensurate with rank.
- Eligible for appointment at assistant, associate or full professor rank upon hire, based on research, teaching, and service commensurate with rank.
- Associate/Full Professors:
Eligible for tenure based on demonstrated distinguished record of teaching, research, and service. - Experience mentoring doctoral students and early career faculty.
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and excellence in undergraduate and/or graduate education.
- Evidence of leadership in the profession of nursing.
Interested candidates must submit a curriculum vitae and three letters of recommendation. Optional additions for an application package may include: a research statement and a teaching statement.
Final candidate will be required to provide three (3) letters of recommendation and an official transcript to the hiring department upon hire. A transcript will not be considered "official" if a designation of "Issued to Student" is visible.
