Part-time Tutoring Specialist, Math Studio

Job Description Summary

The Math Studio is seeking mathematically-minded individuals with an interest in teaching or part-time tutoring.

The primary task is to assist and promote active learning for Math Studio students. Tutors may also be expected to assist with exam proctoring and other academic duties.

• Provide tutoring to students in algebra courses.
• Assist instructors in performance of their duties
• Assist with proctoring as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

  Academic Lab Manager, Math Studio

Required:

A Bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM discipline is required. A criminal background check will be conducted.

Preferred:
Experience tutoring is preferred.

• Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment.
• Communication - able to effectively communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner using preferred method and level as applicable to the job.
• Relationship Management - able to personally provide high level of interactive service to others, building relationships and addressing identified needs.
