Job DescriptionThe University of Florida Center for Learning’s mission is to improve the quality of teaching, learning, and childcare. We research, develop, and scale educational innovations for adults and children that put all learners on trajectories for lifelong success. The Center targets kindergarten readiness, third‑grade reading proficiency, and algebra proficiency as critical milestones. The Florida Tutoring Advantage, created by the Florida Legislature in 2024, is a statewide program that provides high‑impact tutoring for students below grade level in reading and mathematics.
The Center has been designated as the Administrator for this program and is responsible for fulfilling all its requirements.
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing management of tutoring services in the Southwest Region.
- Ensure alignment with university, department, and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to manage annual project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintain detailed work plans, resource plans, project budgets, and status reports; ensure adherence to best practices.
- Prepare quarterly program performance accountability reports and track program metrics (OKRs).
- Develop project plans, including timelines and milestones.
- Communicate project expectations to team members and partner organizations.
- Facilitate program meetings, produce progress reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key partners to align objectives and secure buy‑in.
- Coordinate with districts to determine needs, inform program design, and implement adjustments.
- Manage program scope changes, identify potential crises, and develop contingency plans.
- Support operational efficiencies through best‑practice tools and processes.
- Ensure timely collection of data and reports from partners, meeting required formats.
- Logistically support professional learning, site visits, workshops, and meetings.
- Coordinate with other project staff for consistent communication structures.
- Assist executive leadership as requested.
- Help monitor program analysis and reporting metrics for overall program efficacy.
- Support data collection, management, analysis, and reporting, and aid in decision‑making tool design.
- Engage in market and literature research to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Execute recruitment strategy targeting districts.
- Create content, guidance, templates, and tools for partners; provide onboarding, training, and technical assistance.
- Ensure partners receive adequate support, messaging, and implementation tools.
- Support after‑hours work for events or travel; travel outside the region may be required.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of the Florida and national K‑12 education landscape, preferably at both the school and district levels.
- Experience in managing and coordinating multiple tasks and projects within a system.
- Strong relational, organizational, and communication skills.
- Quantitative data analysis skills.
- Experience working with data and technology systems.
- Valid Teaching Certification in Florida (preferred).
- Working knowledge of High‑Impact Tutoring or High‑Dosage Tutoring (preferred).
- Experience communicating with district leadership.
- Expected Salary: $65,000–$75,000
