• Reviews specification as related to assigned job.
• Prepares check list.
• Prepares lay‑outs.
• Prepares structural sub‑assemblies and drawings.
• Prepares sketches for details.
• Reviews drawing package to assure conformance to requirements.
• Submits completed drawings to project lead for approval and release.
• Liaison for assigned task.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering, or a related engineering degree. (12 years equivalent related engineering experience may be considered instead of a bachelor’s degree.) Or a master’s degree in the same fields.
• Technical knowledge plus an additional 2 years of related design experience required with a bachelor’s degree, and 1 year of related design experience required with a master’s degree.
• Excellent drafting skills in CATIA V5 (or higher) and/or Pro/Engineer.
• Ability to provide complicated lay‑outs and program design studies.
• Proficiency in generating written communication and operating required office equipment.
• Strong reading and review skills for written communication.
• Clear speech and hearing abilities in English.
• Effective interaction with engineering, tooling, and manufacturing departments; ability to function as part of a design team.
• Desirable:
  Experience with APQP, D&PFMEA, Control Plan, 8D Problem Solving, CATIA V5, Pro‑E, and AutoCAD.

Based in the USA; some travel may be required.
