Dewberry has an exciting career opportunity for an Office Manager/Senior Water Resource Engineer in the North Central Florida Water Market. As our local office leader, you will collaborate with our team on water and wastewater treatment projects for local, state, and regional clients, solving complex water and wastewater challenges. - Provide oversight, guidance and mentoring to staff within the Gainesville office.
- Responsible for project management, client relations, and sales activities.
- Preparation of studies for facility master planning, alternatives analyses, feasibility studies, and preliminary engineering reports.
- Coordinating with staff from multiple design disciplines.
- Development of design documents and specifications and obtaining permits from regulatory agencies.
- Make site visits to pursue project leads.
- Participation in the preparation of qualifications and proposals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering field is required; advanced degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience with advanced water and/or wastewater projects with increasing levels of project engagement.
- Florida PE license is required.
- Experience working with multi-disciplined design team.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to apply engineering principles and best practices to ensure the efficient and effective treatment of water and wastewater within our scope.
- Proven ability to effectively achieve positive results in marketing and business development including experience preparing proposals (technical and cost) for municipal and private clients.
- Experience managing a team of professionals with a wide array of skill sets.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
