Lead Water Resources Design Engineer

About the RoleWe are seeking a Lead Water Resources Design Engineer to design and analyze engineering projects, manage tasks, and develop new business opportunities. The role focuses on natural systems restoration, stormwater treatment, dredging, and related projects primarily within Florida.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor early- and mid-career engineers and scientists.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Deliver quality products to clients on schedule.
- Conduct field and office tasks associated with water‑resources projects.
- Use CAD modeling, GIS, and other relevant software.
- Prepare calculations, design, and make recommendations for water‑resources projects.
- Author construction bid documents, technical documents, permit applications, and proposals.
- Manage and lead projects within a team environment.
- Market to clients and prepare proposals.
- Commit to the company safety program.
- Bachelor of Science degree in environmental, agricultural, or civil engineering.
- 7–10 years of post‑baccalaureate experience in engineering and design.
- Experience in a consulting practice.
- Registered Professional Engineer in Florida; or a different state, with ability to obtain Florida registration within three months.
- Trained project manager.
- Skilled communicator (oral and written) of technical information.
- Travel primarily within Florida.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
- Safe driving record in accordance with the company’s driving policy.
- Drug screen required.
- Graduate degree or degrees in engineering.
- Knowledge of Florida hydrology and water‑resources issues.
- Client relationships and project experience in Florida.
- Relationships with Florida’s water management districts.
- Experience with water models such as ICPR, HEC, MODFLOW.
