Position Overview:

As a Civil Design Engineer at JBPro, you will play a pivotal role in focusing on the engineering design aspects of diverse projects. Collaborating within a dynamic team including Production Engineers, Project Managers, and other team members, you will contribute to delivering exceptional results to our clients.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the engineering design aspects of various projects, focusing on utilities, grading, drainage, and more, tailored to project scope requirements.
  • Collaborate with a team including Production Engineers, Project Managers, and others to deliver high-quality results that exceed client expectations.
  • Coordinate project schedules, deadlines, and deliverables closely with the Project Manager to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Participate actively in project coordination meetings to maintain alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Conduct comprehensive site visits and take photos to capture initial conditions at project inception.
  • Manage and oversee the work of technicians assigned to the project, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
  • Proactively address and communicate any design issues that may impact deadlines or deliverables to the Project Manager.
  • Facilitate agency coordination and communication, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and draft applications, forms, and submittal documents, identifying associated fees and requirements.
  • Engage in client contact and coordination on an as-needed basis.
  • Coordinate effectively with sub-consultants and associated companies, including Geotechnical, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Lighting, to achieve project goals.
  • Collaborate closely with JBPro's other production departments on mutual project requirements.
  • Provide construction services and inspections as necessary to support project completion and client satisfaction.
  • Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering, demonstrating practical knowledge and project involvement.
  • Required:

    Proficiency in CAD software; experience with Civil 3D is preferred.
  • Required:

    EI Certificate, showcasing commitment to professional development.
  • Ability to effectively incorporate feedback from peers, superiors, and clients to continuously refine and enhance design solutions.
