VFX ARTIST

Grove Street Games is seeking a full-time, experienced effects artist to join our team where you will focus on creating realistic and awesome looking visual effects for an unannounced UE5 game. We are looking for a motivated, well-organized person who can work well on individual and team-oriented tasks with a passion for making a visual splash. The successful candidate needs to demonstrate a strong artistic ability to bring concepts and designs to life in a real time game environment.

You will work closely with programmers and artists looking to achieve certain effect feedback and a certain look, in a VFX heavy AAA title.

• Produce quality VFX art from concept to final implementation in Unreal Engine.
• Effectively collaborate with designers and art director to maintain consistent look and quality
• Quickly learn and adapt to new tools and pipelines
• Optimize effects to run smoothly in real time use but maintain visual quality
• Participate and contribute creatively in team discussions, critiques, and game development ideas

• Minimum 2 years working in Unreal Engine
• Proficiency in Niagara and UE Blueprints
• Ability to create textures and materials to accompany effects
• Experience with post process effects and materials
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently and own your work and work well with teammates
• Detail-oriented & extremely well-organized
• Relocation to Gainesville, FL – this job is not remote

• Strong understanding of shaders
