Stylist role at Ulta Beauty

Location:
Gainesville, FL. Salary: $21.00–$30.00 per hour.

The Stylist team plays a critical role in engaging guests, consulting on hair care needs, and delivering high‑quality services aligned with Ulta’s mission and values.
Responsibilities- Perform a full range of hair services, including cut, color, style, and treatments.
- Meet or exceed weekly sales goals of $800 in hair services and contribute to overall store sales performance.
- Provide knowledgeable product demonstrations to drive retail sales.
- Participate in in‑store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
- Maintain up‑to‑date industry knowledge, including trends and product ingredients.
- Develop and maintain strong guest relationships through consultations and personalized service.
- Collaborate with skin therapists and retail staff to deliver a cohesive guest experience.
- Adhere to Ulta’s policies, safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
- Use booking and client‑management systems to schedule repeat services.
- Communicate supply needs and maintain operational standards throughout the salon.
- Cosmetology license.
- Preferred previous salon experience.
- Proficiency in salon techniques, equipment, and chemical usage.
- Strong communication and sales skills, with the ability to promote professional hair and makeup products.
- Self‑motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to building lasting client relationships.
- Frequent mobility, lifting up to 10 lb., and repetitive bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
