About UF Health Shands Rehab ServicesUF Health Shands Rehab Services is dedicated to providing excellent patient care throughout north central Florida. We offer comprehensive rehabilitation programs to create a safe and comfortable environment that empowers individuals to manage their care independently, return to a functional lifestyle, and improve their quality of life. Our team is committed to treating patients with compassion, creativity, respect, and confidentiality. We collaborate closely with referring physicians, therapists, support staff, the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions, and the University of Florida Athletics Program.
Our therapists provide rehabilitation services and education, and we support ongoing staff development through continuing education, journal clubs, staff mentoring, and involvement with student clinical education and UF Health accredited residency programs in Sports and Orthopedics.
Our adult rehab center offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy for high school and adult populations. Our specialties include orthopedics, neurology, and pelvic health. We also feature a wheelchair seating clinic and pool therapy programs.
QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Therapy
- No prior clinical experience necessary
- Knowledge and skills across a broad range of therapy services and settings
- Strong communication skills
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Florida
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position will operate vehicles for assigned business purposes as 'non-frequent drivers'.
Note:
A frequent driver is defined as someone who uses their personal or Shands vehicle at least once daily, makes at least five trips per week, or drives over 150 miles per week for work-related tasks.
